Hall Day
My weekend ist usually reserved for halls of fame.
© Julia Schoierer
I love seeting the output of the city´s graffiti artists every weekend.
Especially during the summer, one can visit the halls to see new pieces there
even 3-4 times a week. It makes me very sad though to visit Berlins best known
hall of fame nowadays.
This year Berlin is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the fallen Berlin Wall,
and the city decided to once again committ an asthetic crime!
Over decades the side facing former West-Berlin has been a constant canvas
for graffiti artist. Now it is being "restored"...
Since the East Side Gallery looks like this now,
here´s a chance to get a glimse at what historical meaning the Berlin Wall
has for my generation and why these white walls are so outrageous...

A weekend of Sneaker and Graffiti pt. 2
..Then on saturday snooping around sneakers @ Solemart
for an afternoon felt like walking on cloud nine after selling
quickstrikes and Lacoste metroslippers all week at work.
Although mostly hyped newschool shoes were put up I was
very happy to see some very nice vintage stuff, even in my size...
Special thanks to Tony Toupet for his "No Hypeshit" booth!

A weekend of Sneakers and Graffiti pt.1
Although packed with work the last 2 days felt like a holiday.
I was able to spend most of my time with the things I like best:
Photography of sneakers and graffiti.
Friday a day with graffiti outside ...
....and later on in the gallery:
(in the backrooms things turned a little gothic....)

Unfortunately this exhibition could not compete
with the extraordinary TAG @ Grand Palais ...
