LA pt.II

Touchdown in California

After a long flight, my sister and I finally arrived in Cali. It's been over 
5 years since our last visit and I am so happy to be back together with 
our family. My cousin is getting married on Saturday and there couldn't 
be a better reason to spend 2 week in the sunshine with my loved ones.
As it has been quite a while since my last trip to LA, there are many things 
to re-explore. Let's start with Culver City...I quite like it here:

OMFT – Reebok Workout Plus from the 70s

These Reebok Workout Plus have been worn by my mum in the 70s, were 
then inherited by my sister, who sported them in the 80s an then handed 
down to me in the 90s. This shoe is older than me and a true family equity

Letzter Aufruf Tegel

Gestern abend habe ich mit meiner Mutter eine besondere Buchvorstellung 
besucht. "Letzter Aufruf Tegel" ist eine Hommage an den tollste Flughafen 
der Welt. Stilecht wurde der Event über den Dächern des Euopa Centers in
der PanAm Lounge ausgerichtet.
Der Flughafen Otto-Lilienthal aka Tegel scheint in jedem Berliner einen 
sentimentalen Nerv zu treffen. Ich habe dort mein ganzes Leben lang meine 
Mama am Lufthansa Schalter besucht und abgeholt. Mit über 40 Jahren 
Berufserfahrung  ist sie einer der am längsten Angestellten im Hauptstad-
flughafen. Umso stolzer bin ich, daß sie für dieses tolle Buch auch ihren Senf
dazu geben durfte.
