ARTCADE opening recap

Here are some pictures of the opening of the 'ARTCADE' at the Wilmersdorfer
Arcaden last Thursday.
Until the end of the year 7 temporarily free spaces within the arcade have been
transformed by different creatives to give the visitors a whole new experience
through pop-up stores and art spaces.
A playground for creatives, some fresh air and new ideas.
The ARTCADE experience Room, showcases emerging extended reality content
to new and curious audiences – giving them the chance to experience
immersive technologies first-hand.
In a gallery-space with attached artist studios, the visitors can view art, visit
openings and watch artists live at work. The tape-art collective 'Tape That'
display their work and the graffiti artists RAWS, SKENAR73 and STEREOHEAT
created a visual overkill on floors, walls and ceilings.
The Lunatix Dance Production utilizes space for a dancing school that offers
workshops. Through the collaboration between Ria Wank, Roger Bernd, Hendrik
Nater and the House of Tales, an area is transformed into a glacier world, with
two escape game rooms.

Last but not least, a member of the GHS-Crew pays homage to his original sneaker
shop 'Mad Flavor' that used to be close to the Wilmersdorfer Arcades with a pop-up
sneaker shop and a vintage sneaker exhibition where BAS2, Tony Toupet and yours
truly display some sneaker history from our archives.

The ARTCADE are a cooperation between DIE DIXONS and the center management
of the Wilmersdorfer Arcaden.
