Time to Party

In a few weeks it’s been 10 years since my first trefoil collaboration hit the shelves.

My adidas Rivalry Hi SNEAKERQUEEN was the first one to reintroduce this hightop beauty back 

into the market in 2013 and I must say I still cherish and wear my pairs (I am on number 5 now) 

like on the first day.

This is the logo I designed back then based on the OG adidas Ewing logo, as I was not allowed to 

use the original logo and wanted to keep my design as close to the real deal as possible.

Since a lot has happened in the last decade and anniversaries call for a celebration, I have been cooking up something special!

Can’t wait to show you all soon what I have been working on and share it with my worldwide sneaker family!

Throwback Thursday

Markus Thaler's 1/1 golden micropacer, which was given to him for his 
40th anniversary at adidas. Thaler was one of the last employees to work 
directly with Adi Dassler, as he had been with the brand since a teenager. 
He kept pushing the boundaries of design, creating some of the most 
iconic silhouettes like the famous ZX line and under his guidance designers 
where constantly encouraged to learn all aspect of footwear manufacturing 
- from traditional methods to technical innovations. 
I took this picture in Tokyo 2016, when I was lucky to spend some time with 
the trefoil icon.

Yesterday the adidas Originals Store in Berlin celebrated it's 15 years 
anniversary with friends, drinks and a special EQT Guidance for the occasion.

Women’s Air Max 95 Ultra

As the creator of the Nike Roshe One, Air Max Thea, and Air Max Ultra 
tooling, Nike designer Dylan Raasch got involved to celebrate the Air Max 
95's 20th anniversary. The result is a women’s specific Air Max 95 with a 
lower profile and a sleeker last.
Releasing July 16th.

Happy Birthday SOTO

It's been 5 years already since Soto first opened its doors.
To celebrate the occasion they've got together with Levi's to create 
their very own limited Levi's 501 CT Jeans. Today the 
SOTO x Levi's 501 CT Jeans will be launched in store from 5-8pm 
The AFTER PARTY will be at GREIFSWALDER STR. 23 at 10pm.

adidas Consortium 10th Anniversary Superstar Pack

After the 10th anniversary of the Neighborhood, Union LA, Adi Dassler 
and Undefeated collaborations on a superstar already sold out quickly 
in the last weeks, these re-interpretations of the iconic silouette by 
D-Mop and Footpatrol are releasing on Valentine's day

Happy Birthday adidas

Did you know that adidas is celebrating its 65th birthday today, 18 August 
2014? On that day, 65 years ago, adidas was registered in the Herzogenaurach 
trade register.

They were off to an interesting start… Adi Dassler registered his company 
after splitting from his brother under the name of “addas” on 16 June 1948. 
The below logo of the “Ass” shoe shows a trainer with only two stripes.

 
A year later, Adi was forced to re-name his company as a Frankfurt-based 
company called “Ada-Ada” threatened to take him to court. So Adi changed 
the name of his company, simply adding an i to the existing name – thus creating
“adidas”, by sheer conicidence. This “Spezial” race shoe from 1949 shows the 
new logo, and the shoe now has three stripes.
