Is Kreuzberg the new Mitte???

There used to be a time, when Kreuzberg was known for the Yaam
on Schlesische Straße, amazing Sigara Börek and Köfte, 36 Boys and
butterfly knives. You couldn´t walk down Wrangelstrasse, if you
where a foreigner, and that meant being from another district.
Nowadays this is the view I get, looking out my window!

As always it was lovely to see you guys and to meet up for a couple beers.

A sea of sneakers

This story is told in the book `An Introduction to the World's Oceans´.
When on May 27th 1990, 78,932 Nike sneakers fell overboard on their
way to the US from South Korea, a quick-thinking oceanographer
realized that keepingtrack of where the sneakers eventually beached
would tell the world a lot about how the ocean moves.
