Throwback Thursday

Markus Thaler's 1/1 golden micropacer, which was given to him for his
40th anniversary at adidas. Thaler was one of the last employees to work
directly with Adi Dassler, as he had been with the brand since a teenager.
He kept pushing the boundaries of design, creating some of the most
iconic silhouettes like the famous ZX line and under his guidance designers
where constantly encouraged to learn all aspect of footwear manufacturing
- from traditional methods to technical innovations.
I took this picture in Tokyo 2016, when I was lucky to spend some time with
the trefoil icon.

Dinner with Markus Thaler

Today has been a collector's dream come true.
After listening to an interesting talk with Markus Thaler at the Kosaten
exhibition venue, we had the pleasure to join him for Dinner and spend
some more time with the design legend. The charismatic Franconian has
been with adidas for over 40 years and is mostly known for his ZX designs.
He surely had some great storys to tell …
