VOGUE Closet - Exhibition & Archive unveiling

Yesterday I had the pleasure of exhibiting a small selection from my archive at this year's VOGUE
Closet - Exhibition & Archive unveiling.
10 pairs I considered to represent the intersection of fashion and culture where displayed
at Gebrüder Fritz alongside some interesting luxury handbag collaborations and a Helmut Lang
selection from the ENDYMA archive.
Big thanks to VOGUE Germany for their consideration and the fun time where I got to talk about
my shoes for all day!

From the SQ archive: Nike Air Force III from 2005

It ‚only’ took me 2 days to find this pair!

Since the Air Force III has been re-released I wanted to note that the shape has been reissued in a better way before.

Of course still not as good as the original (don’t make me find that one too in this sea of boxes 😅), but better…

It’s mind boggling to me, that the toebox shape on most reissues is still such an incredible hurdle.
What are your thoughts on the latest AFIII drop?

Vintage vs Retro - 1985 OG Nike Terminator vs. 2022 retro Nike Terminator high

In 1985 the most popular and successful basketball college teams where equipped with their
own colourway in Nike’s “be true to your school” campaign, except the Georgetown Stonewalls
aka Hoyas.
They had just won the national Championship the year before and where on top of their game
so Nike honoured this special team with a new show inspired by the Nike Legend but in
their team colours blue and grey. As a special make up for the team Nike added the ‘Hoyas’
lettering on the heel. The shoes released to the public featured Nike lettering on the heel instead.

BTW the name Hoyas stems from the term “Hoya Sexa” which translates to “what Rocks”.
A cheer that was started from Latin students and stuck with the team.
Over all this 2022 retro of one of my most favourite shoes could have been excellent with a
better choice of leather and a bit more concern for original shapes, but is a good alternative
for anyone not owning the OG in my opinion.
What do you think?

You can read up on more infos about the Hoyas in this wonderful interview with

Size? collections with yours truly

Some time ago Size? came to visit my archive and dig through some rarities.
Last week they posted the special on me and my collection on their blog and YouTube channel.
I usually do not let anyone into my archive, but since I will be moving very soon, I thought it
would be a nice memory of the space that housed my collection and life for the past 20 years.
A big thank you goes to the awesome team for this sweet content!
Cameron, Jessy and James captured some beautiful material and I hope you'll enjoy the very
personal insight into my world.

This is my adidas

I feel honoured to announce that adidas originals came to visit me at home to check out my adidas for their
confirmed app.
It's always a challenge to choose a few favorites for short formats such as this, so I went for some vintage,
some retro, some running, some basketball and I hope you enjoy the selection I made.
You can watch the whole video on the confirmed app or below:

Sneaker Freaker Issue #47 feature

It's been over 8 years since my last Sneaker Freaker appearance and I am more than honored
to get a monster feature of almost 30 pages in the current issue #47.
A huge thank you to Woody for his patience and for giving me the creative freedom to bombard
him with pictures of over 80 pairs as it was impossible to decide for some 20-30 favourites
(trying to go for just 1 example pair of a model I love and not all the CWs and variations I
own also helped a bit) and for letting me talk some real talk about what OCD/OSD and serious
collecting actually means for one’s sanity and surrounding.
I feel super grateful for this massive feature and being able to speak my mind instead of
answering the same questions I am asked at every interview is a huge privilege!
Sneaker Freaker Magazine #47 is now available and I can’t wait to hear what you guys have
to say about it.
