OMFT – Vintage vs Retro

and I am wearing an adidas Futurecraft sample, which is surprisingly 
comfortable, considering it's sole came out of a 3D printer.

a great opportunity for me to get a shot with some of my besties! 
As a photographer you rarely get a chance to be in a professional photo

20 years of Space Jam

For the 20th anniversary of the movie Space Jam, the Berlin Braves 
organised an exhbition of vintage merchandising and sneakers affiliated 
with the film at the Kickz Store Berlin Torstraße. 
I contributed some sneaker from my collection to add to Joey's 
impressive line-up of merch, rare gems and special editions. 
At the opening on the 9th the original movie was playing downstairs
accompanied by pop-corn, sandwiches and donuts. 
A great evening with a nice exhibition, video games and drinks ended 
with tree lucky winners taking a Space Jam package of the Jordan XI 
home.

Rivalry Love

Here is one of my pictures from the AOA top5 Vol. 2 book. 
The adidas Rivalry Hi has a special place in my collector's heart. 
It was the first adidas high top that sparked my interest as a teenager. 
Seeing my older sister's friends rocking the white and grey colourway, 
watching RUN DMC and what the band contributed to the evolution of 
style in the hip hop communities worldwide with their collection; 
all had a great influence on the way I perceived fashion and sneaker as 
a social code and status symbol. 
These are all the vintage Rivalrys that inspired me to my final shoe 
collaboration with adidas (in the front) plus a sample in the background 
with a different try on the snakeskin.

AOA Top 5 - Vol II

A big thank you @aoatop5 for this copy of AOA vol.II! 
I feel honoured to be featured in this as one of very few ladies. 
A lot of work went into this second volume and it really payed off. 
This is a great read, for anyone with a little nerdism in them. Well done guys!

Maroon

The words "Maroon" and "Seminole" share the same origin in the Spanish 
word cimarrón, meaning "wild" or "untamed".
Maroon communities where mostly African refugees who escaped the 
brutality of slavery on plantations and joined refugee in remote areas, 
like the Cuban mountains.
Beginning in the late 17th century, Jamaican Maroons fought British 
colonists to a draw and eventually signed treaties in the 18th century 
that effectively freed them over 50 years before the abolition of the 
slave trade in 1807.

Alma Store opening

Last week I paid a visit to a new sneaker shop for female footwear in Cologne.
With the opening of Alma, Anke Lönne and Saskia Willich celebrated their first
concept store for the smaller sizes. A great night with drinks, cake and musik.
